THE BEGINNING

In the first phase, we will take up “Road Safety, and Our Role & Responsibility” which is a serious concern of the country as we lose many lives, every day due to adversities on the Road. For example, in the year 2021 only, reportedly there were 4,12,432 road accidents in India in 2021. (Source: Ministry of Road Transport and Highway). There’s not a lot we can do about the same as far as Highways are concerned, yet our cumulative efforts in our localities can certainly bring a beautiful change this world deserves to see.

We will discuss the common challenges, consequences, and most important of all; Our responsibility and ownership towards the same. When we look into a challenge and a situation, all of us often have a tendency to try and identify the causes, gaps, and people responsible for it. Although, we have an efficient system to look after most of the aspects, with the law, Order rules, and guidelines laid. But as we see India today, it is a great huge country, but with immense population and critical geophysical challenges… So it is foreseeable to find things moving through a process and taking much time than we expect. Hence, it becomes essentially necessary for us to step out of our comfort zone and take a move towards a better tomorrow.

We will start with some very basic problems we face every day while driving:
